THE FIGHT AGAINST THE PERMIAN HIGHWAY PIPELINE
Kinder Morgan is currently constructing a 400 mile long pipeline through the Texas Hill Country. This pipeline construction has already destroyed habitats of endangered species, made local drinking water toxic as well as greatly increase the risk for disease to spread among the trees due to not following prevention protocols in place.
This resistance was built to empower and educate those who resist, those who stand with the land and water instead of oil and greed.

Awanyu, Ancient Spirit of Scared Water is represented in the logo defeating the Black Snake, the pipeline. The message that we, as a community and collective are against the pipeline was best communicated with the commonly known "No" symbol, which also acts as a cage. The color palette and stylistic elements were inspired by indigenous art.
